Subject: e-KYC of farmers under PM KISAN Scheme.
Madam/Sir,
This Department vide letter of even number dated 6 December 2021, issued necessary instructions to States/UTS to undertake e-KYC verification of all the beneficiaries of PM KISAN scheme for smooth transfer of benefits-and complete the above exercise by 31 March, 2022 by launching an awareness campaign in this regard. However, keeping in view the very slow pace of e KYC authentication, the deadline for undertaking e-KYC was further extended up to 31.05.2022 vide O.M. of even number dated 08.03.2022.
2. As of now, only 4,62,06,853 farmers are e-KYC authenticated which is roughly 41% of the total Aadhar authenticated data of eligible beneficiaries (11.22 crore). 3. In view of the above, States/UTS are again requested to give wide publicity and launch campaign to ensure widest possible coverage of farmers under e-KYC and invariably complete the exercise latest by 31 July 2022 positively.
