Vide Circular ref.1st cited Corporate office issued instructions to the units to extend 25% concession to the senior citizens in all types of buses of the Corporation including AC buses w.e.f. 01.07.2016. Due to Covid conditions prevailing, the 25% concession to senior citizens was stopped from 21.05.2020 onwards to control the spread of Corona pandemic. Now, the Competent Authority has agreed for restoration of concession to the senior citizens w.e.f. 01.04.2022.
In this regard, the following operational instructions are reiterated once again for strict implementation.
1. Senior Citizens who have completed 60 years of age (Male and Female) and above are eligible for 25% Concession on applicable normal passenger fares to travel in all types of APSRTC services including AC buses.
2. Senior Citizens seeking 25% Concession on normal fares shall invariably produce any of the following proof to the service conductor/ driver/ booking clerk at the time of purchase/ Reservation of Ticket.
- AADHAR CARD
- SENIOR CITIZEN ID CARD
- PAN CARD
- VOTER ID CARD
- PASSPORT
- RATION CARD
