Subject: Cyclone Alert for Andhra Pradesh Coastal Areas – Regarding

All the District Collectors and Magistrates in the State are informed that the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Cyclone alert for the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, specifically from Nellore to Kakinada districts, effective until 06.12.2023. The forecast indicates a sustained surface wind speed of 80-90 Km, gusting to 100 KM during this period.
Therefore, all the District Collectors and Magistrates in the State are informed to take necessary action to ensure safety of the children, including declaring local holiday to all the educational institutions within their respective jurisdictions depending on the seviority of the Cyclone.
